AMIBM is a cross-border cooperation between Maastricht University, RWTH Aachen and Fraunhofer IME. AMIBM’s vision is to provide the missing link between fundamental and applied research and the market in the field of biobased materials. It aims to do this by changing the relationship between the production of biobased materials and the value chain.
In the consortium, Maastricht University (UM) in the framework of the Aachen-Maastricht-Institute for Biobased Materials (AMIBM) will act as project leader as well as work package leader of theoretical mod-elling. Maastricht University is well known for its international nature and its problem-based learning- and research (PBL/PBR). At AMIBM, experts from a variety of disciplines like biology, chemistry and physics as well as materials science and engineering are collaborating leading to fruitful discussions and feedback loops in project conduction which strongly fits the feedback-based nature of the GraSage proposal.
As there is great competence of UM with respect to modelling techniques particularly in international business- and finance matters, the development of fuzzy logics and adjustable neuronal networks will be part of the work at Maastricht University.
